This feature allows you to place a call on hold while you set the phone down for a few moments or take another call. This feature also allows you to say something to someone in the same room without letting the caller hear. Since it is Avia Phone, there is no additional charge for this feature.

In just four easy steps you can put a caller on hold. These steps are:

• Pick up your handset.
• Press the Flash button or Switch Hook to put the current caller on hold.
• You may then dial or receive a second call.
• Once you finish talking, press the Flash button or Switch Hook again to cancel the hold and get back to the first caller. In case you forget to return to the original call and you hang up, your telephone will ring (if the calling party is still on the line) and you can pick up the handset to reconnect the caller.
